Altered embroidery hoop.

Hello everyone. I am so excited to be sharing my project with you all.

My name is Tiffany. AKA "mammatiffy" I am 27 years old. A mother of 2 wonderful kids. My son is 5 and my daughter is 1. I have a wonderful husband that supports my addiction. I mean hobby. We recently moved from the San Diego area to Nevada. It is about 45 minutes outside Las Vegas.

I am a SAHM. I would not have it any other way. I started crafting about 4 years ago. A lady that was in a playgroup we were a part of was a Stampin Up demonstrator. I had went to an event where we made a super simple mothers day layout. it was just a photo mat a strip of paper with mommy and me stamped on it and a felt flower. I was hooked. As simple as it was I was already addicted LOL. I started out making cards. and lots of them. I'm not sure why exactly but I had went on YouTube thinking I might find 1 or 2 videos on how to make cards. Was I wrong or what?  I was overwhelmed with video after video.  The more and more I watched videos and followed blogs, the more I was inspired and my addiction grew and grew. I ended up making my first layouts, and then altered projects, mini albums and then my first video. The rest is history.  I love the crafting community and how we all are so supportive. I honestly know that I would not be crafting today if there wasn't so many nice people out there.

Now to the project.

I am super excited to share my project with you today. I made a embroidery hoop. These are so much fun to make. I made this into a layout. I also put some ribbon on it so I can hang it. I used the gorgeous Prima Romance Novel collection. I have a lot of texture going on. You can't see at first glance, but I used a Prima mask and some modeling paste. I cut out some of the images from the paper. I added a metal handle up on the top that I brushed some paint on.

I cut out the banner with my cricut and cut out the word INSPIRE. I put some vintage lace around the hoop. I also punched out some butterflies and used some burlap. The Prima flowers I used are Black Pierott. I cut them in half and stuffed them places so the petals are peeking out. I also used some of the tiny flowers from the collection the Prima Peries. I also used the Interlude flower pack. I finished it off by brushing some paint over it.
